 What You’ll Do: 

As our Configuration Manager/PLM Engineer, you’ll be the architect of consistency in a fast-moving environment. Your role is critical: you’ll own the processes that ensure that every component, system, and change is tracked, controlled, and deployed with confidence. From development through delivery, you’ll be the guardian of accuracy, traceability, maintaining data integrity in engineering and product documentation. 

The role plays a key part in aligning configuration practices with industry standards and internal quality requirements. You will work closely with engineering, project management, and IT to implement and maintain the PLM systems. 

Tasks will include: 

- Approve and release product documentation in PLM system.
- Define and enforce configuration management policies and practices.
- Escalate compliance and quality issues related to product data.
- Authorize change implementation in collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Control access rights and workflows in the PLM system.
- Lead internal audits of configuration management processes.
- Act as the point of contact for all configuration-related queries.
- Initiate improvements to PLM and configuration processes.

- Implement and maintain configuration and document control standards.
- Set up and manage part numbering and product structures in PLM systems.
- Administer and support the daily operations of PLM tools and workflows.
- Review and process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Change Orders (ECOs).
- Monitor and report on the status of configuration items throughout the lifecycle.
- Coordinate release management of drawings, BOMs, and software documentation.
- Establish audit trails for all configuration-controlled items.
- Provide technical support for system users and resolve configuration issues.
- Support project teams in creating and maintaining configuration baselines.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the area of configuration management.

We are looking for

Someone that is driven by a deep passion for understanding product development processes preferably from the automotive or manufacturing industry.

You most likely have a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

We believe that you have had a leading role from working with PLM systems (such as Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault ENOVIA, etc.).

To be successful in the role it is a strong merit if you have experience from cocreation/deliveries with Chinese counterparts and speak Chinese and English fluently. 

You have a proven track record of scripting or programming languages related to PLM customization. We take it for granted that you have are a true team player and see the benefits of cross-functional collaboration and that good communication is the key to success.

Our Office;
The InfiMotion office is conveniently located within the Uni3 campus at Pumpgatan 1, on Lindholmen in Gothenburg. The office is easily accessible by car, bus, or the newly introduced ferry service.

For those driving, there are parking facilities available around Lindholmen. Please note that ongoing extensive roadworks are in progress to enhance future tram connections which may cause delays and inconvenience.

If you prefer public transport, simply get off at Pumpgatan or Regnbågsgatan when taking the bus. Alternatively, for ferry commuters, you'll get off at the Lundbystrand ferry terminal.
