What will you be doing?
As our Software Release Manager you will be responsible to ensure that all software integration, validation, and deployment processes are aligned with project milestones and quality standards. The role plays a crucial part in coordinating and delivering high-quality software releases within the automotive domain.
You will collaborate and act as a liaison between software development, testing, hardware, and project management teams to ensure smooth and timely releases. The role contributes significantly to the efficiency and reliability of software deployments across vehicle programs.
Your expertise will play a vital role in managing risks related to software delivery and promote continuous improvement in release practices.
Tasks will include
In the role as Software Release Manager some of your main tasks will include:
- Establish and maintain release management processes and tools to support automation and traceability.
- Coordinate customer base development rollout plan with internal Release needs and scope.
- Communicate software release plans, milestones, and progress to stakeholders and leadership.
- Manage change control processes and handle emergency software patches when necessary.
- Ensure documentation and archiving of release artifacts and history for audit and traceability purposes.
- Support the adoption of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Support compliance with cybersecurity, safety, and functional validation requirements during releases.
We are looking for
Our ideal candidate has a strong background in software engineering, CI/CD pipelines, and release orchestration, with a passion for automation, process improvement, and collaboration across teams.
To be successful in the role you have 5+ years of experience in software release management, DevOps, or software engineering within the automotive industry.
We believe that you have a masters degree in Computer Science or another related field and a strong understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
As a person you are excellent with details and a real problem solver with strong analytical abilities. You have great communications skills and enjoy working cross functional in a global environment. You are fluent in English, orally and written. Collaboration is key for us so you are a true team player.

Our Office;
The InfiMotion office is conveniently located within the Uni3 campus at Pumpgatan 1, on Lindholmen in Gothenburg. The office is easily accessible by car, bus, or the newly introduced ferry service.
For those driving, there are parking facilities available around Lindholmen. Please note that ongoing extensive roadworks are in progress to enhance future tram connections which may cause delays and inconvenience.
If you prefer public transport, simply get off at Pumpgatan or Regnbågsgatan when taking the bus. Alternatively, for ferry commuters, you'll get off at the Lundbystrand ferry terminal.
